Deuxieme Arabesque I
Cécile Chaminade

One of my favourite French late-romantic composers, Cécile Chaminade. She's often overlooked, I guess partly because she embodied the late Romantic at at time when Debussy and Ravel were looking forward to the twentiethcentury. Her gender, unfairly, probably had something to do with it too.

Piano Sonata in E Hob. XVI/49: I
Joseph Haydn

I have a weakness for Haydn. He's one of classical music's cheerful jokers, if you're in on the fun. This E Sonata is a personal fave. Written in 1789/90, it's Haydn at the height of his powers, writing happy, joyful music.
